The exact colour may vary from the images shown as I’ll be using fresh products imported from Holland but I will be aiming to make wreaths using plum red Hydrangeas. I cannot promise exactly what colour you will receive but I’ve added sample photos of the hydrangeas we’ve had coming in over the last couple of weeks.
The dimension of the medium Hydrangea Wreath is approx 16 inches. The measurement is taken from the widest point of the design and not the base used underneath.
Over time the colours may fade, this is the nature of dried flowers. Choosing a position out of direct sunlight will ensure the colours remain for longer.
With care and positioned indoors you’re looking at over a year lifespan if not longer. My mums still got hers 3 years on!
These wreaths could be hung outdoors protected in a porchway or by a storm porch but ideally positioned indoors in dry air to assist a longer life as damp in the air outdoors or being exposed to the rain would encourage bacteria to occur and the petals would then start to rot.
The last image shows how a Hydrangea wreath looks when allowed to become fully dried. It has retained the original colour and shows clearly how the petals look in their dried form.
These wreaths have all been lovingly made by ourselves in small batches just for you. It has taken us a few years to perfect the construction of how we make these carefully selecting the best varieties of Hydrangeas that we’ve learnt over these years that we’ve found dry out the best. We take our time in producing these beautiful designs and pride ourselves in making them. Due to their very delicate nature we cannot post these out they are for collection only- so for those of you wishing to order out of Lincolnshire this is your sign to book a mini getaway to our Shire and come collect a wreath and visit the beautiful coast of Cleethorpes.
You will be sent a txt when it’s ready for collection.
